Established in partnership with UNDP under the Timbuktoo Initiative, the Makerere University Innovation Pod empowers youth through creativity, technology, and entrepreneurship to drive Uganda’s transformation.
On January 9, 2024, Makerere University and UNDP Uganda commissioned state-of-the-art equipment worth USD 1 million to support the newly established Innovation Pod.
The launch was graced by H.E. Elsie Attafuah, UNDP Resident Representative in Uganda, alongside Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe, Vice Chancellor of Makerere University, and other dignitaries.
